Ardom Belton is a native of Washington DC and currently lives and performs in Los Angeles CA. He began studying and performing stand up bass with Washington DC Youth Orchestra at age 11. He graduated from Suitland Magnet High School with concentration in Performing Arts. After graduation he was accepted, studied and trained at USC —University of Southern California Flora L. Thornton School of Music- BM Classical Music Performance program.
Ardom Belton is a dedicated and accomplished, string bassist, in the music styles of classical, jazz, hip-hop, and Celtic music. An academic background in music theory, proficient in composing and arranging for all instruments. A strong history of performing and is a band leader. Ardom is the founder, director, arranger, composer for the band Anxiety Bones performing Trap Jazz Live….
During his music career Ardom has studied with Private Instructors such as George Vance- Founder of Suzuki Method for Bass, Akeeter Betts- Bass Player for Ella Fitzgerald and many others, Robert Op-pelt- Principal Bass National Symphony, Hal Robinson- Former Principal National Symphony, Francois Rabbath- Founder of Rabbath Method Book for Double Bass Playing, John Clayton Jr.- World Renowned Bassist, Composer, Arranger, Paul Ellison- World Renowned Bassist, Former Principal of Houston Symphony, Dennis Trembly- Former Principal Los Angeles Philharmonic, Nico Abandalo- Principal Los Angeles Chamber Music, David Moore- Section Bassist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Ellis Marsalis, World Renowned Jazz Pianist.
Ardom’s experiences include performing with notable musicians such as Black Note Records- recorded 3 albums with UMOJA, Belton-Davis Poetic Grooves – Independent Label, Don Carter – Lavish Life Label, with Ellis Marsalis, John Clayton, Carlos Santana, Wynton Marsalis, Nicolas Payton, Ocie Davis Jr., Donald Vega, Kamasi Washington, Ronald Muldrow, and Toured with Lula Washington Dance Company. He has also done Film Scored- Blacktop Lingo - Sundance Film Festival.
